on taking this exciting step in your life!

As an experienced celebrant I channel my own life experiences into the services I offer. My passion is creating personal and unique memories for those looking to mark an occasion with love. I believe love is the most beautiful gift to give, costing nothing, and at the same time priceless. A gift that will bring happiness across a lifetime.

I invite you to browse through my website to discover more about me, and the ways I can help create a personalised ceremony your way, within your budget, to suit your needs.

No two ceremonies are the same. Offering personalised services for weddings, funerals, naming and commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, and eulogy writing, I will create an occasion that reflects your personality, style and dreams, with memories to cherish forever.

I feel honoured to play a small part in the moments that my clients treasure. It would be a joy to be chosen as your celebrant.

My Story
__

My name is Janet and I’m here to make your special day come to life! As an experienced and kind-hearted celebrant, I provide a caring and compassionate hand to walk each wonderful client through the moments that matter most.

I am passionate about creating personal and intimate ceremonies that last long in the memory, burning brighter with each passing day. The greatest joy of my life comes through meeting and working with people who are coming together to mark a loving occasion. When we place a flag in the ground for days of great love, or loss, they continue to wave long after the day is done.

Having worked in radio and television from an early age, I developed presentation and performance skills that would become a defining aspect of my civil celebrant service. When I look back on my life and career I feel a great sense of pride. Still, seeing the joy on the faces of my clients at each ceremony is the most rewarding feeling of all.

I combine my lifetime of experience in the media with a deep passion and enthusiasm for creating personally crafted memories. My connection with every occasion sets me apart. Not simply an experienced and knowledgeable celebrant, but a guiding hand and an open heart that celebrates the uniqueness of every moment.

Whether it’s celebrating the new love between two lives coming together, the renewed love between two lives long entwined, the love of a child as it comes into this world, or the loving memory of those who have departed, my warmth, experience, and commitment to your occasion will always shine through.

What Is The Wedding Ceremony Process?
__

Once confirmed, our wedding ceremony journey will include:

Paperwork

Signing documents and love go hand in hand, right? Maybe not. But by getting the paperwork out of the way we get to move onto the fun stuff.

Ceremony Planning

This 1st draft of your dream ceremony is a chance of us to sculpt your dream day. I offer unlimited phone calls, emails, and messages to make sure everything is just as you picture it.

Face to face meetings

Meeting in person, we put the final touches on your wedding ceremony. This will occur approximately 1 to 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

The Big Day

I’ll arrive prior to the ceremony to set up sound equipment and official paperwork. Making sure everything is perfect and ready to go, the culmination of our planning and your lifelong dream come together.

1Wedding hints & advice
  • Plan your wedding your way (Don’t compare to others) Remember the most importance people on the day are you two. Do it your way!
  • Try to plan each detail with your partner. Enjoy the process together
  • When choosing an outside venue, have a back up for weather problems, even in the summer, it can rain, and storms do happen!
  • Although you have been checking everything, just make sure you do a ring around to all companies & individuals involved, during the final week.
  • A photographer once said, “ I wish all brides would drink a lot of water at least one month before, so the skin is moist and glorying

  • The Dress: Put your gown on and don’t just look in the mirror. Walk in it (with the shoes on) even up and down stairs, as often as you can. On ‘The’ day you will be so pleased you did. You will feel as if it is a part of you.
2Types of ceremonies
ALL TYPES, YOUR STYLE
Elopement Ceremony:
Small intimate legal wedding. Work closely with you to create a special, romantic ceremony. (Minimum 5 persons – Bridal couple, celebrant and two witnesses.) This is officially conducted prior to an overseas wedding ceremony in places, such as Bali and other destinations. Therefore you are married under Australian Law, and have friends and family enjoying a tropical paradise. (Note: For continuity I do conduct service at the O/S venues).
3What are the legal requirements?
To be legally married in Australia, a man & a woman must:
  • Not be married to someone else
  • Not be marrying a parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother or sister.
  • Be eighteen years old, unless a court has approved a marriage where one party is aged between 126-18 years old.
  • Understand specific words during the ceremony
  • Give written notice of your Intention to Marry to the authorized Celebrant. (NOIM)
4What happens after the wedding?
On the day of your wedding you will sign three marriage certificates. Each certificate should be signed by you, your celebrant and two witnesses. Your celebrant will give you one of the certificates as a record of your marriage. You celebrant must register your marriage with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in the state or territory it took place, within fourteen days. The certificate issued by the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, is required for may official purposes. You should apply for a copy of this certificated from the registry after your wedding.
